They were children when the Duke of Huntsley was introduced to Lady Grace Kearly. The young duke–nicknamed “Hunter”–took one look at his future bride and thought only of escaping his responsibilities to his family. Marriage was for grown-ups and Hunter still had years of skirt-chasing ahead of him. But now the time has come for Hunter to heed the call: if this Lord of Vice hopes to keep all of his inheritance, he’ll have to claim his long-neglected betrothed…
With her twenty-first birthday approaching, Lady Grace dreads the thought of marrying the duke she has met only once–especially since he’s grown into a notorious rake who will probably beget his heir and abandon her in the country while he pursues fresh game in London. So when Lady Grace coolly decides to call the wedding off, even Hunter is surprised by his refusal to let her go. Suddenly, the notion of claiming and taming this green-eyed beauty is one challenge he cannot resist…
Linnet Carroll is on a mission to confront the killer of her murdered her niece Deanna. Linnet will stop at nothing to find justice for Deanna, even if it means breaking into the killer’s house.
While out one evening spying on the killer’s house, Linnet starts to feel like someone is watching her, but she is not sure. Linnet doesn’t know that there really is someone watching her, and he is the brother to Deanna’s boyfriend, Anthony who was also murdered. Anthony’s brother’s name is Tremayne Maxwell and he is also seeking justice for his brother’s murder. Linnet thinks she can find justice for Deanna’s death on her own, but she is going to need help from Max, and not just in ways that she’d imagined. Will Linnet ever find justice for her niece? Will Max be able to restrain himself and not kill the killer he murdered his brother?
Max sure does not want love, he just looks at humans as pets and nothing more. Linnet defiantly wants nothing to do with any man, and likes being single. She plans to keep it that way. Too bad that Linnet and Max can’t turn off their hearts towards one another..
If you love romances and lots of flirting then your going to love “Embracing Darkness.” Not a bad book I just wish there would have been a little more action, and that it dove deeper into who Nola was, and how she started up her blood cult.
Caring about her beyond a basic need to keep her safe, he could not. Maxwell Tremayne never should have touched her, kissed her, tasted her. It was foolish–dangerous–for a vampire to get involved with a human, let alone a flesh-and-blood spitfire of a woman with curves like Linnet’s. Maxwell had to remember that it was tragedy that had brought them together on this dangerous quest to catch a cold-blooded killer. Even if they survived this struggle unscathed, imagining that they could share anything more than a fleeting affair was as ridiculous as…imagining that he could live another hundred years without her.
Genny has moved on with her life and has never forgotten about the one man she truly loved. Leo Sees Genny and makes a bee-line for her immediately. Will old memories resurface for Genny when she see’s Leo? Will Genny turn and walk away, or will she fall victim again to Leo’s charm once again?
Leo Harrow, Earl of Barrington is on a mission to stop Mr. Warren the great nephew of the last Earl of Fallon who ruined his good friend Jez’s life. If Mr. Warren marries he will kick Jez out on the streets with no place to go. Leo has received word that Mr. Warren has been selected to marry Lord Pondsley’s daughter Lady Charlotte and neither Jez or Leo wants to see her marry Mr. Warren. The last thing Leo wants, is for Lady Charlotte to live the life that Jez led, pure hell. Leo hears that Lady Charlotte is attending a local event and comes up with an idea. That is, he and Tristan Leo’s friend will seduce Lady Charlotte away from Mr. Warren.
While attending the ball Leo spots Lady Charlotte and Genny Camden, the one women Leo never got over and the one who got away. Leo’s important task is to win back Genny, but that task will not be as easy as he thinks.
I have read many wonderful books by Tiffany Clare and have loved them all. I was really disappointed with this book. I wish there would have been more excitement with trying to stop Mr. Warren from Marrying Lady Charlotte. Also more about whether Jez won her house back. I hope the next book in the series is better as I love Tiffany’s books.
Leo Harrow, Earl of Barrington, is a regular subject of the scandal rags. Once an unrepentant pleasure seeker, he knows that young ladies are warned to look the other way when he enters a room. But when he comes face to face with a woman from his past—the one that got away—he will do anything to keep the rumors about him at bay. Or risk losing her forever…
ALL BETS ARE OFF
